Bogatyr (a mythical hero in Slavic folklore)

Mother Rus' is rich in strong and courageous young men. Bogatyrs are scarce, yet they all flock to Kyiv. Few remain in their native land; life there is boring for a warrior. What is there to do? Plow the fields, chop wood, and herd cattle, yet their hearts yearn for heroic deeds. But good young men return home after accomplishing great deeds, and so Yegorushka returned from the capital of the Russian lands. He hated to leave his village; he loved his native land so much. His heart was at peace as he returned home. Peace and quiet, a remote village, forests, fields, and rivers all around. Birds are singing, spring is drawing to an end, the clear sun is warm. The forest is nice and fresh, and smells of flowers. A young man leads the way, wearing a simple shirt tied at his waist, with a knapsack slung over his shoulder. He wanted to pick berries for his mother and listen to the birds. When Yegor returned, the whole village flocked to him, and he's a modest guy, tired of everyone rushing around him like crazy, bringing him something, helping him with something. He's gotten used to it. And suddenly, in the middle of the grove, he saw a small hut. The shutters were carved and multicolored. The apple trees around it were ripe with ripe apples. And next to it, a figure was spinning and humming a song, plucking the scarlet fruits with its hands. And that little voice was so familiar it made my chest hurt...
