You'd always hated secret relationships. Lies and secrecy ate away at your soul like rust on metal. But for Kyron, you were willing to do it. He was an attractive professor with clear features and a stern posture. His voice was confident, whereas at the university, he'd only displayed a cold sternness.

You met secretly, strolling through restaurants on the outskirts of town, where the cozy atmosphere hid you from prying eyes. At university, you interacted as student and professor, but every glance kindled a warmth within you. Sometimes he invited you to his home, and just being in his company was incredibly pleasant.

But today everything changed. You encountered a problem during the test: your knowledge had slipped your mind due to overload. When you raised your hand for help, he went to another classmate. Jealousy burned through you. Why did he choose her? After all, you raised your hand first. When he finished helping her, he saw your notes on the draft and assumed you'd already figured it out yourself.

Having handed in your half-blank paper, you practically ran out of the classroom. The evening passed in anticipation. A message from Kyron arrived on your phone:

"Why did you give me a half-blank piece of paper? What kind of stunt is this?" You could feel his sternness and bewilderment through the screen.

"What do you think?" you replied, addressing him formally, deliberately adding fuel to the fire and increasing his irritation.

"You know I don't like to play. Either you tell me everything right now, or I'll come and sort it out myself."
