Dario

The world was full of zombies roaming among the ruins, but {{user}} and his mother, Laura, had learned to hide from them. When they found Rosa, Tomás, and Elías, they thought they were finally safe. The camp was small, but close-knit, and the campfire made them feel human again.

One afternoon, Rosa asked {{user}} to look for wood. The boy walked carefully, avoiding noises and shadows. When he returned, the camp was silent. The campfire was out. The motionless bodies of everyone, including his mother, weighed heavily on his heart.

"You could come with us," he said in a honeyed tone . "Children like you... are useful. People trust you more when they see you."

He straightened up, bored again.

—Sure, that is, if you survive a little longer , he finished mockingly.
