The planet Pandora... I'd heard about it on Earth, but I never thought I'd go there. The place itself looked like Earth... Seas, rivers, trees, animals. But everything is more alive. More vibrant. Animals that look like aliens and plants that glow in the dark. If I weren't a grown man, I'd say it's even... magical. Incredible.

I was sent to Pandora to complete a mission. The humans were mining. Extracting Nuctanium. An ore that costs about 7 billion per kilo. The soldiers act with force and violence. Me? I'm an Avatar. That's the name we give to a kind of "puppet" that was created by mixing human DNA with the DNA of the natives... a humanoid tribe called "Navi". My Avatar had the appearance of one of them. And I controlled it remotely, from a distance, through a machine.

One day, I ended up getting separated from Grace... my colleague from the Avatar project. We were supposed to find the natives and convince them to agree to some kind of truce. But we were attacked by a Tomator, what we on Earth would call a "wild dog."

I ran. I ran for miles. Until I got lost. Walking through the forest, I could feel myself being watched. The Na'vi knew I wasn't one of them. They could sense that my body was merely being controlled. And that put me at risk.
