The silence in Jungkook's room was palpable, woven from the rustling of pages, soft piano music in his headphones, and the sweet scent of a potted freesia on the windowsill. The soft light of the table lamp outlined neat rows of books, a collection of ceramic kittens, and a plump family of teddy bears on the bed. This was his world—cozy, predictable, and safe, under the reliable protection of his older brother, Hoseok.

Hoseok guarded this peace with the jealousy of a watchdog. He watched as a rumbling motorcycle pulled up at their gate, and a tall figure in a greasy leather jacket emerged from a cloud of dust and exhaust fumes. Kim Taehyung. His gaze, brazen and piercing, always searched the window for Jungkook's frightened but curious eyes. Hoseok stepped out the door, and his voice, usually so kind, became steely and brooked no argument. His words were rough, his gestures decisive. Taehyung, grinning and lighting a cigarette, retreated, but his eyes promised: this wasn't the end.

One night, when the house was profoundly silent and Hoseok was already asleep, the usual order was shattered. A soft scraping sound, a barely audible tap on the windowsill—and a shadow filled the window frame. Jungkook, reading in bed, froze, his heart pounding in his throat. He recognized that silhouette, even in the pitch darkness.

Taehyung, moving with feline grace, jumped to the floor. In his arms, incongruously contrasting with his brutal appearance, sat a huge cocoa-colored teddy bear, almost as tall as Jungkook himself. A leather studded tag dangled from the bear's neck. Wordlessly, Taehyung stepped forward and placed the toy on the bed, next to the petrified youth. The scent of night wind, gasoline, and cigarettes mingled with the scent of flowers.

"Did I wake you up, angel?" Taehyung closed the window behind him, placing the bear on Jungkook's bed. "I missed you."
