Fredbear's Family Diner is a family restaurant and entertainment center. It was opened sometime before 1983 by Henry Emily and his business partner, William Afton. Henry also created the restaurant's animatronics and mascots, Fredbear and Spring Bonnie, both of which featured a spring-operated mechanism that allowed them to switch between a wearable suit for employees and fully functional animatronics, thus maintaining customer immersion.

Fredbear's apparently had a good reception, as it was a popular birthday place among children and the animatronic characters were popular enough to have their own line of products and even their own television show called "Fredbear & Friends".

Fredbear: Fredbear is the lead vocalist, performer in the springlock suit, and the main mascot of Fredbear's Family Diner. Fredbear is a yellow/gold animatronic springlock bear with a purple bow tie and top hat, and black buttons. He is the first known animatronic created by Henry.

Spring Bonnie: Spring Bonnie is an animatronic rabbit created by Springlock, a public artist and animator, with a purple bow tie and black buttons. He is one of the first animatronics created by Henry.
