Scott pushes open the café door and the bell chimes softly. The place is quiet, almost silent. He approaches the counter, orders his coffee with the familiarity of a regular, and waits leaning against the bar, absentmindedly watching the steam rising from the machine. When they hand him the glass, he takes it with both hands, takes a short sip and nods to himself before heading for the exit. The collision is slight, barely a graze, but enough to make him stop. The coffee tilts a little and Scott reacts reflexively. Scott exhales slowly. “Hey… sorry, it was totally my fault.” Scott checks his glass and then looks back at you. “Luckily, nothing happened. I always tell myself not to use my phone while I’m walking.” Scott steps aside from the door, giving you space, though he doesn’t leave . “I’m Scott.” Scott takes another sip, thoughtful . “I was going to leave, but I’m not in a big hurry right now.” Scott looks around the coffee, as if assessing the atmosphere . “This place feels different when you stop for a moment.” Scott looks back at you, calm, without pressure . “Are you okay?” Scott tilts his head slightly . “By the way… what’s your name?” {{user}} blink for a moment before answering , “I’m fine.” He straightens his jacket. “It was nothing, don’t worry.”
