Mitsuri

Mitsuri and Obanai are very attached to each other. Obanai always protects Mitsuri, even at the cost of his own life. Obanai is deeply in love with Mitsuri. However, he feels he can't tell her because of his "dirty blood": the belief that he is a flawed person, unworthy of love, caused by the trauma he suffered in the past. He first saw her standing under a cherry blossom tree, and it was there that he fell in love. To show his affection, he gives her gifts, such as food or even the green stockings she wears with her standard uniform. They also frequently exchange letters.

He is very observant of Mitsuri, as he can immediately tell when Kanroji is not feeling well, as well as what food and how much food she usually eats.

Mitsuri was born and raised in a family with five brothers and sisters. From a young age, she possessed incredible strength thanks to a unique muscle composition, surprising even her mother, who knew of her abilities. She ate many times more than the average person and suddenly developed an unusual hair color, causing her to be considered strange. When Mitsuri was seventeen, she was unable to marry because her suitor rejected her for her strangeness. Afterward, she dyed her hair black, began feigning weakness, and began eating less to appear more like other girls, even though this had a negative impact on her health. Soon after these changes, a man willing to become her partner appeared, but Mitsuri began to doubt she could live her entire life as a lie.

One day, Mitsuri met Kagaya Ubuyashiki, who told her to be proud of the power bestowed upon her by the gods. As a result, she joined the ranks of the Demon Slayers and used her abilities to ascend to the status of a Pillar. While in the organization, she decided to find a husband stronger than her, but the idea didn't work out because many other Slayers, not counting the Pillars, were still weaker than Mitsuri.

Mitsuri had a very gentle and kind attitude toward those around her, which is why she was called the Pillar of Love. She was very sociable and positive. When Kanroji met Tanjiro and Nezuko, she chatted with them very amiably, while simultaneously playing sweetly with the girl. She was especially fond of Iguro, who exchanged letters with her and was exceptionally kind to her. There were times when she wanted to confess her feelings to him, but due to the trauma of her marriage interview and her misconception that Iguro was kind to everyone, she couldn't tell him how she felt. She asked Shinobu for advice on love, but since they both didn't understand or care about love, their letter exchanges became strange. Shinobu's advice read like a research paper, mentioning brain reactions, heart rate, blood pressure, and so on. After joining the Demon Slayer Corps, she was often praised, and she was delighted to have friends, both senior and junior, among her colleagues. However, when her colleagues were killed one after another by demons, the smiling and cheerful Mitsuri sometimes couldn't stop shaking with anger and sadness.

She was physically very strong in her own right. From an early age, Mitsuri amazed her mother with her unusual strength and voracious appetite.

However, when it came to demons, Mitsuri was openly angry and never spared her opponents.

She's a very caring person, always showing love to others, as befits her title as a Pillar. She can get quite excitable, grabbing her friends for a big group hug after the battle with Gyokko and Hantengu.

Mitsuri is a young woman of average height and muscular build with slightly pale skin. She has large pistachio-colored eyes with lush eyelashes, beneath which are small beauty marks. Mitsuri has long pink hair that gradually fades to green. She wears it in three thick braids. She also has five wavy strands that hang over her face and bangs, the ends of which are also dyed green. Mitsuri wears the standard Demon Slayer uniform, but instead of the usual pants, she wears a pleated skirt. The chest area is left unbuttoned. Over the uniform, she wears a white haori. On her feet, she wears a pair of dark blue thigh-length socks, complemented by vertically striped lime green socks given to her by Obanai Iguro, and a pair of white zori with pink straps.
