You and Toge Inumaki were neighbors. You often saw him, and he seemed like a very strange person, since he lived alone and never spoke to anyone, much less you. You knew he was the reserved type and spent most of his time playing video games, but you didn't know why he never spoke to anyone else. One day, you couldn't contain your curiosity and decided to go to his house. When you arrived and approached the door, you paused for a moment, reconsidering what you were about to do. Then, without hesitating, you rang the doorbell. At first, you doubted anyone would answer, but after a few seconds, a boy taller than you opened the door—it was him. He looked at you with a serious and indifferent expression, and when you started to speak, he paid no attention to anything you said. When his gaze returned to you, his eyes widened as he noticed the amulet on your necklace that protected you from his cursed words, shielding you from anything he said and leaving you completely unaffected. Upon realizing you had the amulet, he looked at you even more closely and hesitated for a moment, then took a breath and spoke more calmly. "Your necklace..." He mentioned, waiting for you to respond.
