Cryokinesis: Doma's Blood Demon Art grants him extremely powerful cryokinesis. He can generate ice and frost from his flesh and blood and can spawn it anywhere in his vicinity, as well as manipulating it at will, allowing him to unleash incredibly potent ice techniques. Additionally, the ice created from his Blood Demon Art is extremely lethal to those that inhale it, causing the cells of the victim's lungs to die and rendering them unable to breathe very quickly. His ice and frost have also been noted to be extremely cold, as shown when the air around Doma's frost was cold enough to make Shinobu's lungs feel as if they were about to burst and nearly freeze Kanao's body and surroundings just by coming into contact with it.

Doma is a tall young man with a lean, muscular build. He is of extremely pale complexion and possesses long, pointed nails that appeared to be stained with a pale purple. He possesses long platinum blond hair that he wore parted to his right, the shorter parts around his face seeming to flare out to either side around his head, curving backwards with one lock slanting down to the right of his face to fall between his eyes, while the longer parts were left to drape centrally down his back in a thinning spiral. Due to his beauty, he was made a cult leader and seen as a divine being due to such. His eyes have been described to be incredibly rare and beautiful, as, in color, they appeared to be made up of an array of rainbow pastel tones that fade into one another as they circle his irises, this unusual appearance even causing people to believe Doma is a blessed being who could communicate with the gods. The kanji for Upper Rank is etched across his left eye, and the daiji for Two or Six at the time when he first met Gyutaro and Daki. on his right, with thick eyelashes and a set of notably thick black eyebrows acting to frame them above. Doma wore a blood-red turtleneck of a design that made it appear that the section between his neck and upper chest is covered by a black substance that looks like it's dripping slightly down his body, this same design repeated at his wrists and down his hands, as well as on the small, circular "blood stain"[14] he adorned on his head. Below this, he wore a pair of straight, tan-colored hakama pants of a pinstriped design, their cuffs visibly loose, which he secured with a pale green-tinged golden belt (originally colored black, and colored white in the anime), its buckle a bright silver. He also only wears plain black tabi socks on his feet. On occasion, Doma may also have been seen sporting a black cloak, which he drapes around his shoulders, two lengths of purple and black cloth with a rectangular pattern also hanging from it.

Doma is outwardly friendly and cheery, possessing an approachable and charismatic air. Kanae Kocho describes him as talking and acting in a calm and carefree manner. However, in truth, he has psychopathic tendencies and adopts sick beliefs and habits, such as devouring his cult's followers with the belief he is saving them from their suffering and pain by letting them live inside his body. Under his carefree and unassuming demeanor that made him appear inane and witless, Doma is a cold and calculating individual with an extremely keen intellect. His high intelligence may be the reason why he looks down on humans, genuinely believing that they are pathetic and pitiful. He even cried out of pity for them. His condescending attitude towards humans was also showcased when he was decapitated by the combined efforts of Shinobu, Inosuke, and Kanao, feeling insulted to be killed by individuals whom he thought lowly of. Doma is clinically apathetic, completely emotionless, and unable to experience proper emotions. Doma himself admitted that the concept of emotion was completely foreign to him, even as a human. Aware that this is abnormal, Doma compensated for his empty heart with his own charisma. He learned to express his carefree demeanor enough to deceive all but the keenest observers. Despite leading a cult, Doma is a nihilistic atheist who staunchly believed that gods, Buddhas, and the afterlife do not exist. He believed that after death there is nothing and that people who "could not accept something so simple" are naïve and dumb.

Butterfly Dance: Caprice (蝶ちょうノ舞まい　戯たわむれ, Chō no mai: Tawamure?) - The user leaps into the air and charges towards the opponent, stinging them multiple times with their blade to inject poison in just seemingly one strike. Dance of the Bee Sting: True Flutter (蜂ほう牙がノ舞まい　真ま靡なびき, Hōga no mai: Manabiki?) - The user dashes at their target at blinding speeds and uses the momentum of their speed to then strengthen a single thrust into their opponent and inject poison into them. Dance of the Horsefly: Enticing Slash (虻もう咬かノ舞まい　切せっ裂さくの誘さそい, Mōka no mai: Sessaku no Sasoi?) The user leaps off a vertical surface and delivers a forward thrust toward their opponent, before surrounding them with a confusing swarm of stabs from all sides. The user redirects their opponent's counterattacks to get through their defense, and delivers large amounts of poison through the opening created with a final dashing stab. Dance of the Dragonfly: Compound Eye Hexagon (蜻せい蛉れいノ舞まい　複ふく眼がん六ろっ角かく, Seirei no mai: Fukugan Rokkaku?) - The user rushes forward and unleashing six rapid, powerful thrusts, aiming to strike and inject their target with multiple doses of poison at the target's weak spots (such as the neck, heart, torso, etc.) in order to kill them with a large dose of poison. Dance of the Centipede: Hundred-Legged Zigzag (蜈ご蚣こうノ舞まい　百ひゃく足そく蛇じゃ腹ばら, Gokō no mai: Hyakusoku Jabara?) - The user uses their full speed to run a zigzag pattern that confuses their opponent in order to create an opening for them to directly stab their opponent's neck and inject poison to kill them, with the stab's force and power being further enhanced by the momentum of their speed

Shinobu displayed a bright, friendly and cheerful demeanor, always having an easygoing smile on her face regardless of the situation she was in. However, her outward behavior was shown very quickly to be a façade. This was displayed in the way she enjoyed teasing others, to the point of being rather sardonic about it. It is later revealed that Shinobu's outwardly calm, tranquil disposition was worn as a mask, as she held an intense hatred for demons due to the loss of her beloved sister Kanae at a young age, along with the deaths of her parents, almost all of her Tsuguko

Shinobu wore a dark purple-tinted variation of the standard Demon Slayer uniform. It consists of a button-up jacket with a stand-up collar and long sleeves, featuring gold buttons and a shirt pocket on the left breast, with the kanji for Destroy (滅めつ, Metsu?) engraved on the back of the uniform. Beneath the jacket, she wore a white long-sleeved collared undershirt. Her long, saggy tattsuke-hakama pants are also tinted dark purple and are fastened at the waist with a white belt. Her legs were wrapped with a pair of unique white kyahan—with butterfly-patterned design—that fades from pale turquoise to pink gradient around the lower legs, and tied securely with white ribbons. Her tabi socks match the dark purple color of her uniform Over her uniform, she wore a distinctive white haori that once belonged to her late older sister, Kanae. The haori features a butterfly wing pattern inspired by the Monarch Butterfly, with a color gradient that fades from white into pale turquoise and then pink on the lower sleeves and hem, with the cuffs and hem have a black trim, decorated with pale turquoise dots, resembling butterfly wing edges. For footwear, she wore white zōri sandals with purple straps, and she conceals a hidden blade in the right sandal—used as a last resort weapon.

Shinobu was a petite, young woman of slender build and pale skin complexion, which sharply contrasts with her pink lipstick. She had large eyes that lack pupils, only a haze of gradient purple that blends with a lighter purple to a darker purple color at the bottom, along with white highlights on the upper irises, making her eyes appear similar to those of insects. She had raven-black wavy hair that fades into a dark purple hue at the ends, styled at the back of her head into a flat yakai-maki bun fastened with a white butterfly ornament with a light purple trim on the outer side of the wings, along with turquoise speckled spots. She had center-split, ear-length, voluminous curtain bangs that flow down to frame the sides of her face, with two slightly thinner chin-length locks of hair in front of her ears below them. She stood out among the more physically imposing Hashira due to her diminutive stature and small frame, which was later reinforced by her mentioning that she does not possess enough physical strength to decapitate a demon as the others do.

Destructive Death (破は壊かい殺さつ, Hakai Satsu?): Akaza's Blood Demon Art revolved around martial arts, merging the manipulation of destructive shockwaves and the Soryu-style martial arts he mastered as a human. The shockwaves he controlled appeared in a striking blue hue and could manifest in various forms, such as nigh-invisible air pressure, circular energy-like shockwaves, or cannon-shaped spikes. He could generate them at will, from any distance, and seemingly any part of his body. In combat, Akaza infused his own punches and kicks with his shockwaves to amplify their destructive capabilities, enveloping his every strike in a faint blue light. At the start of a battle, Akaza initiated his Blood Demon Art by deploying a special technique called Technique Development. Akaza started by going into a stance unique to the Soryu Style, which had two versions. He performed the first stance by bending his knees in a half-crouch position, extending his right arm with a half-clenched fist facing his body, and bending his left arm with an open palm; the second version was nearly identical, except he opened his palm on his right arm while fully clenching his fists in a downwards bend on his left arm. Using the shockwaves of his Blood Demon Art and the Soryu Style, Akaza could attack his targets with destructive long-ranged barrages and precise short-ranged strikes. During his battle with Kyojuro Rengoku, he could keep the Flame Hashira at bay with his shockwaves, forcing him to close the gap and putting him in range of his bare-handed fighting style, which was to the Upper Rank's advantage. The shockwaves generated from his Blood Demon Art were extremely powerful, once being able to smash Kyojuro's ribs and even internal organs after he took a barrage of larger shockwaves head-on, the same Hashira who survived explosions being rained down upon him with insignificant injuries.

Akaza was a headstrong, stubborn, and battle-crazed social Darwinist who enjoyed fighting, especially against strong Demon Slayers. He purposefully drew out fights to savor every moment of it; the Upper Rank tended to become enthralled whenever he was hit by a powerful opponent, not due to masochism but out of a genuine admiration for their skills. Akaza always complimented his opponents when they unleashed powerful techniques or landed blows on him, usually remarking that their techniques and swordsmanship were magnificent and intriguing. Akaza looked down on anybody he deemed weak, so much so that his skin would crawl at the sight of them. He genuinely respected those who were strong in his eyes, demanding to know their names, and would not stop until he found out; he remembered all the names of strong opponents of the past and committed them to memory as a tribute to their strength. Akaza also presented an opportunity for those he recognized the strength of to become demons, believing that preserving their refined techniques and skill was right and feeling pain watching the deterioration of those blessed with extraordinary gifts as they age, and going so far as to kill them to preserve their magnificent skill himself should they decline his offer to become a demon. He also did not discriminate against strong warriors who were weak before, he's kind and loving with koyuki

Akaza was a very muscular young man of average height with skin so fair it appeared bright green-tinged white, decorated by a pattern of thick blue lines, which resembled the criminal tattoos he had as a human. Akaza had short, bright pink hair that fluffed out around his head and inward-tilting yellow eyes with pink eyelashes and blue sclera that somewhat resembled cracked glass. The kanji for Upper Rank was etched into his right iris, and the daiji for Three was etched into his left. The lines on his face curved through each of his eyes from below his ears to over his temples, another blue line running from the center of his hairline to the bridge of his nose, with two more lines running around his neck, three others branching off the lower one to his torso. The middle line ran directly down his chest to halfway down his stomach, and the other two branched off to the sides over each side of his chest to join the two other lines. This same three-line pattern also repeated around his waist. On his arms, lines were running down the front of his shoulders that ran into two more, which went around his biceps before continuing to run down to his wrists, below which each of his fingers was also dark blue with an orange fingernail. His toes and toenails also sharing this unusual appearance as his fingers and fingernails. Akaza wore little and only sported a short, sleeveless dark purple-pink haori cut off at his waist, left open to expose his chest, and decorated by a square pattern on his back. Below this, he sported a pair of baggy white pants that he rolled to just below the knee with a turquoise rope belt to secure them at his waist, with bright pink tassel ornaments hanging on the front
