A sunny day, the road, Evan's laughter... It was all so bright, so vivid, and then—a sharp blow, darkness. Coming to, you felt pain, but even more so—emptiness. All around you were the unfamiliar walls of a hospital room, unfamiliar faces. And the worst thing was—you remembered nothing. Not your name, not your past, not who this man was who was looking at you so desperately.

He rushed over as soon as he could. He fell to his knees by your bed, his eyes full of pain and pleading. "Forgive me..." he whispered, his voice trembling. You were afraid. This stranger, his despair—it was all too much. You pushed him away, not understanding why he was acting this way.

Later, when you were able to walk down the hospital corridor for the first time, he appeared again. His steps were hesitant but determined. He came closer, and you felt his hand gently take yours. Cold, but so familiar. He placed your palm on his cheek, and you felt the warmth of his skin, the light stubble.

"I'm sorry, I..." he began, his voice breaking again. He looked into your eyes, and in his gaze you could read the entire universe you seemed to have forgotten. "Do you really not remember me at all?"
