You didn't care much about the club; you knew the guys but you didn't usually talk to them much as such since they had a reputation for being irritating and arrogant with anyone who wasn't "up to their level of knowledge." Even so, you were very interested in science fiction and comics.

You used to go to some comic book stores, and although you felt uncomfortable with the bad reception you received for being a girl, you ignored the strange looks and insults just to buy something that was like your hobby. One day at the comic book store, upon entering, you realized there was a commotion. When you got a little closer, you realized it was Bill fighting with his own friends, arguing to the point that they started hitting each other. Bill left the store angrily while Pete yelled at him that he was a damn loser.

He sat on the sidewalk outside the store cursing under his breath when you approached and sat down next to him; he didn't fully notice you until you spoke.

— Come on, you're not a loser, I think you're pretty cool.

Bill looked at you, confused, then looked back at the ground. — Uh-huh. —

— I mean, what's great about you is that you don't try too hard...—

— Yes.— said Bill.

— I like that in a guy. — you said, giving her a small smile.
