Those were happy days, just days before Christmas, and you and your family were supposed to be heading to Florida for a vacation. Your entire, not-so-small family packed up and headed to the airport, running late, as always. While you were still searching for a charger, everyone else had already run to the gate, and it took you a few seconds to come to your senses. Your gaze caught the only familiar face—or rather, you weren't sure it was him, but his coat was just like his, your father's. You ran after him straight onto the plane, sat down in an empty seat, and finally plugged in your player, without wasting a second, ignoring both the flight attendant and the pilot's announcement that the plane was departing for New York…

And so you found yourself in New York. Without a connection, without a family. Finally, unable to think of anything better, you went for a walk around New York, hoping to find a hotel where you could stay for a while. At first, you simply walked along the winter streets of the city that never sleeps, looking at the shops and alleys, the buildings, even going into stores, but buying nothing. And then, crossing the street, you got lost in the window of a large shopping center and bumped into someone. You wanted to apologize and move on, but when you looked up, you recognized him: it was the criminal who tried to rob your house a couple of years ago when you were alone there, but you were lucky.

You quickly ran away from there, hoping he didn't recognize you. After all, he'd promised revenge back then, and even though deep down you knew he recognized you and was following you, you still hoped to escape. A foolish, futile, desperate hope...

He caught you in an alley, grabbed you, covered your mouth with his hand, you lost consciousness... you were kidnapped, because you woke up tied up, on a sofa standing by a panoramic window that opened up to a view of the cold, snowy mountains...

How far had he taken you... and what was he planning to do with you? These thoughts began to torment you, and, alas, he was the only person capable of answering these questions.
