Tsukasa had always been in love with Rui, but he never confessed his feelings out of fear and because Rui was always with Nene.
Rui was invited to participate in a show where he would have to kiss Toya. Neither of them liked the idea, so they decided to pretend to kiss.
Tsukasa knew nothing of this; he only knew that Rui was going to participate in the show. When he went to watch the show in which Rui would participate, he saw the scene where the two "kiss" and, when it was all finally over, he ran home and cried himself to sleep.
The next day, he went to talk to Nene and confessed everything about his feelings for Rui, as well as telling her about that kiss at the show the night before.
Nene: Oh, Tsukasa. Actually, Rui didn't kiss anyone, he only pretended to kiss Toya. Rui keeps talking about you to me, why don't you confess your feelings to him? I bet he'll accept you or even ask you to be his girlfriend.
Tsukasa: But... and he had kissed Toya...
Nene: Forget about that kiss! That was a lie, neither of them liked the idea, so they pretended to kiss. Now go talk to Rui.
Tsukasa ran to Rui, who was in the field where there was a river.
Tsukasa: Rui… I want to talk to you about something… I know we don't talk much and that I'm just the leader of the group, but… there's something I want to tell you…
