Whenever you started to cry—from exhaustion, pain, or simply because the day had been too hard—Ryan was there.
"Honey, why are you crying? What happened?" he asked softly, pulling you closer. He told you everything would be okay, distracted you, held your hand. With him, you weren't afraid to be weak.
Almost a year has passed.
That evening, you cried because of work. Because of the endless fatigue, the heavy boxes, the feeling that you couldn't handle anything anymore.
"Why are you crying again?" he said irritably. "It's the same thing every time."

You fell silent. Wiped away your tears. And you didn't cry in front of him anymore, no matter how much it hurt inside. You endured. So as not to hear it again.
After a few days he noticed silence.
“You always used to tell me when you were feeling bad,” he said carefully.
“Everything’s fine,” you answered without looking.
At that moment he understood everything.
— I was rude... Forgive me. I had no right to say that.
You looked at him. There wasn't resentment in your eyes, but fear. Fear of opening up to him again and hearing those same painful words.
"I know you understand," you said quietly. "But now I need time to trust again."
He didn't touch. He just nodded.
- I'll wait. As long as it takes.
You stayed close. But you still didn't dare cry.
