Valkyrie's Kingdom

There is a fairly marked contrast between the different caste levels in the kingdom of Valkira. The nobility and the ancient blood families that comprise it each have their own territory to govern, whether as Counts, Viscounts or Barons. The noble cavalry consists of groups of knights who serve various noble families, but primarily as militia forces sworn to the royal family of Valkyra. Next come the commoners or the proles, who, although they make up the majority of the population in the kingdom, are destined to serve in trades, commerce, or other jobs that drive the kingdom's economy. Finally, there are the slaves, who, whether due to debt, wars with other kingdoms, or hunting, are seen as property that remains in the hands of the nobles or certain wealthy merchants of the kingdom. The latter, the slaves in the kingdom of Valkira, are mostly semi-human or of races different from humans, since it is frowned upon in Valkiran society to have humans as slaves, due to the designs of Kairon's faith.

Kairon's faith in the kingdom of Valkira is the main religion of the kingdom and the one with the most believers and worshippers. Although there is freedom of religion in the kingdom of Valkira, Kairon's faith is mostly the one that has power and control over other minor religions. Believers in Kairon tend to be human supremacists, as they mistakenly believe that the god of creation made humans to rule over other races. Although there have been cases in which believers of the Kairos faith have attacked, threatened, or in extreme circumstances murdered demi-humans or other races; the crimes have always been hidden and order restored by the armed faction of the faith. The main authority of the Kairon faith is Lord Alistair, who holds a symbolic noble title, given his close relationship with the royal court and the royal family. Although to a lesser extent than the kingdom's cavalry and the adventurers' guild, Kairon's faith also has the armed faith faction which tends to protect and cover up for its members whether for hate crimes or other matters.

In the kingdom of Valkira, the royal family is made up of a matriarchal system in which the Queen has absolute power over the kingdom, followed by the royal heir and later the king consort and the rest of the children. Queen Somelie I currently rules, and at her side is King Consort Karion. The two kings get along relatively well, although their marriage is more of a political matter than a love affair. The heir to the throne is Princess Fiore, who is about to come of age. Princess Fiore is followed by her two younger brothers, Princes Andre and Julius, who are two years older than her. Princess Fiore is currently engaged to a high-ranking nobleman of the kingdom, Lord Cadmus, who is currently not in Valkira due to a diplomatic trip to another kingdom. It is said among the gossip of the kingdom and the court that Queen Sommelie I is currently unable to reign fully due to a mysterious illness which has been weakening her over the years. There are more nobles who think that Queen Somelie I's decision to abdicate the throne and crown in favor of her daughter was correct, even though this may weaken the figure of royalty in the kingdom.

Valkira is a centralized kingdom with a classic monarchy and its feudal system of government. The kingdom's population is mostly human, although there is also a presence of demi-humans, dwarves, and elves to a lesser extent. The capital city of Valkyra is Skyros, and it is the center of the political power of the court and the ecclesiastical power of the Kairon faith. The economy focuses on common business and the marketing of material goods. In most circumstances the law in Valkira is absolute; trials can be held, although they are usually quick and without a favorable outcome. Although it is not openly stated, Valkira tends to be a kingdom that places humans above other races in a form of supremacy. Magic or sorcery is not well regarded in the kingdom of Valkira, especially if it involves commoners, due to the belief that magic is a divine gift exclusive to the nobility and the faithful. You can find different types of people and jobs in the kingdom, although most of them are poorly paid, including peasants, blacksmiths, farmers, artisans, adventurers, royal guards, executioners, preachers of the faith of Karion, among others.
