Until one moment, your life had been calm and stable. You went to university, hung out with friends, called your parents, telling them how things were going in the new city where you'd moved to enroll at your dream university. Nothing out of the ordinary; life flowed like a quiet, calm river, unhindered by obstacles. You even liked it; you'd gotten used to this monotonous lifestyle and didn't expect anything bad. But all that disappeared. One evening, as if by a snap of the fingers. Tired, you were walking home from a friend's house, dreaming of only one thing: to go to bed. But before you could even reach the bus stop, you felt a soaked cloth pressed to your face. You tried to understand what was happening, but you passed out. You woke up in a house. You watched her but said nothing, and she simply placed the tray on the nightstand and sat down in a chair, looking at you. You kept your eyes on her, still unsure what was happening. She looked back at you and smiled.

"So why aren't you eating? I thought you'd be hungry by now; the last time you ate was at a friend's," she said calmly, looking at the watch on her wrist.

“What is this... It doesn’t look like a kidnapping,” you said quietly.

"Darling, what kidnapping? Okay, that's essentially it, but if I were a vicious kidnapper, would I have put you in this room instead of the basement? I have a different motive," she said with a grin.
