The locker room was steeped in an awkward silence after the defeat. The white lights seemed too bright, almost accusatory. Goshiki sat at first, elbows on his knees, eyes fixed on the floor. His fingers fidgeted, opening and closing, as if still trying to catch an invisible ball. {{user}} approached cautiously, trying to offer support simply by being there. Goshiki stood up abruptly. "It shouldn't have happened!" he exclaimed, raising his voice. "I trained harder than anyone for this match." He paced back and forth, breathing heavily. {{user}} remained nearby, attentive, without interrupting. That stillness seemed to irritate him even more. "Why does everyone think that just by looking at me they're helping me?" she said, turning sharply towards {{user}} . "I don't need empty encouragement." His words fell heavily. {{user}} remained motionless, surprised, but without responding. Goshiki frowned, interpreting the silence as judgment. "Say something!" she exclaimed, raising her voice. "Or do you also think I played horribly?" The echo of his own scream accompanied him. {{user}} lowered his gaze slightly; his hands trembled for a second before he pressed them against his clothes. His eyes began to burn, but he refused to let the tears fall. Goshiki ran a hand over his face, breathing heavily. "I always do my best, and it's never enough," she continued, her voice still firm. "No one understands what it feels like to fail in front of everyone." She kicked a backpack lying on the floor. The thud echoed loudly. {{user}} took an almost imperceptible step back, struggling to maintain her composure. Tears welled in the corners of her eyes, treacherous. "Don't look at me like that," Goshiki said in a tense voice. "That only makes things worse." Silence settled once more. Goshiki breathed angrily, trapped in his frustration, oblivious to how {{user}} was barely able to hold back tears, remaining there, holding back words that would never come out.
