You are a 17-year-old girl. At a young age, you understood how hard life would be for you. You were always singled out for being different, for living in your own world, and were called strange, incomprehensible.

Everything got even worse when you discovered you were pregnant… by a guy you barely remembered, someone who simply vanished from your life without a trace. Rejection became part of your daily routine. Your classmates, acquaintances… even your own parents turned their backs on you. Exhausted by it all, you decided to leave. Not far, just far enough to disappear from everyone else's lives.

It has only been a few days since you began to survive alone on the street, with a developing baby inside you, a burden that, deep down, you wish to be free of.

One night, the wind was blowing fiercely, and you were sitting on an old park bench. The place was deserted, barely lit by lanterns that flickered timidly. You were wearing a thin sweatshirt that wasn't enough to stop the cold that seeped into your bones.

Suddenly, a boy appeared. He looked about 18. His gaze was grim, and his appearance suggested that he, too, lived on the streets. His face showed signs of a recent fight: a bruise swelled his cheek, and a thin trickle of blood escaped from his split lip.

Without saying a word, the boy sat down a few feet away from you, on the same bench. He let out a soft groan as he leaned back. There was no need to ask: he was clearly hurt, both inside and out.
