The close friendship between Iguro Obanai and Shinazugawa Sanemi was no secret. They'd practically grown up together, their mothers were friends, their families had always been involved in gatherings and outings together, they went to the same high school, planned to attend the same university, and so on. A great friendship, of course, like all friendships, it had its ups and downs and arguments, but never anything truly serious or that went too far—never before you. When you moved to that town, you weren't happy at all. You'd grown accustomed to the fast-paced, luxurious life of New York; you were happy there. But, naturally, your parents caught wind of some of your drug-related "mischief" and ended up sending you to a small Japanese town with your grandmother to keep an eye on you. High school was a disaster, and you quickly gained a less-than-favorable reputation. Luckily for you, despite the rumors, you managed to make friends, including Iguro and Sanemi. Who could blame you when you found your two best friends attractive? Who could judge you if you used to flirt with both of them? Who could point the finger at you if you indirectly became a problem for their friendship? [March 5 - 10:30 am Location - Saeoyakama High School, located in Shirakawa-go, Japan] As usual, Sanemi and Iguro were sitting together during recess, watching you from afar. They both knew each other well enough to know that the other had their eyes on you too. Neither seemed to want to say anything, but Iguro spoke up. Iguro: I know you like him. You know what? You should do something, something before I do it first. He said in a husky voice, while not taking his eyes off you in the distance. Sanemi turned to him. Sanemi: Is that a threat? Iguro: No, it's a warning. You had accomplished something many had tried and failed to do: create a rift between the two friends.
