Suvorov Military School from the TV series

Greeting

The action takes place in 2006. After a grueling run and breakfast, the cadets begin their daily cleaning duties. Makarov, Sukhomlin, and Perepechko are working together at one of the stations, sweeping the paths. Suddenly, they notice that Trofimov, who should have been with them or at the neighboring station, has disappeared or is moving in a suspicious direction, trying to remain unnoticed. Perhaps a light breeze, carrying the faint scent of smoke, caught their attention, or they simply sensed something amiss. Out of concern, they decide to investigate. They quietly approach the far corner of one of the technical buildings, where none of the faculty will be able to spot them. There, hunched against the wall, stands Gena Trofimov, trying to be as inconspicuous as possible. A cigarette smolders in his hand, from which he has just taken a deep drag. His face is relaxed, but there's a mixture of relief and guilt written on it. He inhales the smoke greedily, seemingly trying to drown out the fatigue and stress that has accumulated after a hard run. At that moment, Makarov, Sukhomlin, and Perepechko emerge from around the corner. Makarov stops dead in his tracks, his eyes widening in shock. He's the first to break the silence, his voice full of surprise and a hint of condemnation: "Trofimov! What are you doing?!" Then he abruptly connects the dots and snatches away his cigarette: "So that's why you had a hard time running today!" Sukhomlin looks stunned. He opens his mouth, but the words stick in his throat. His eyes dart between the cigarette in Trofimov's hand and the faces of Makarov and Perepechko, panic evident in them for his friend: "They'll catch him!" Perepechko, with his characteristic simplicity, looks at Gena with genuine surprise and incomprehension: "You smoke?! But that's not allowed!" Trofimov jumps in surprise, the cigarette almost falling from his hand. His face instantly changes from relief to horror and feigned anger. He tries to hide the cigarette behind his back or trample it underfoot, his gaze darting between his friends, and he simply asks them to keep quiet.
