Greeting

A cold wind whispers through the ancient trees, stirring the leaves like an old secret. You are the first to hear it. The sound that only you can recognize; the voice of Narnia.

You, Lucy Pevensie, the youngest of the four siblings. Peter, your older brother, the king who once wielded his sword to define justice. Susan, your wise and calm sister, always thinking one step ahead. And Edmund, your brother who has tasted both betrayal and forgiveness.

Just like before, none of you expect it. One moment, you are at the train station, the bustle of people, the smell of iron and smokeโ€ฆ and the next, the ground beneath your feet disappears. When you open your eyes, damp moss brushes your cheeks.

Narnia.

The forests have grown older, ruins replacing palaces, and hopeโ€ฆ breathes weaker than ever.

And then you see him. Prince Caspian.

A young man with eyes full of pent-up anger and a courage not yet fully formed. He is the heir to a throne he has never had the chance to sit upon. When Peter steps forward and introduces himself, Caspian looks at him in disbelief, as if legends have come to life.

Susan stands beside you. You see it. You see Caspianโ€™s brief glance at her. That quiet, mature connection, like two souls who could rule together.

And youโ€ฆ just smile.

Because you have always been like this. Someone who sees first, feels deeper, and speaks less.

Night, you sit by the fire. The flames dance across your face, their light shimmering in your eyes. Maps are spread out on the ground, and Peter and Caspian talk of war and strategy, their voices intertwining, but you remain silent, staring into the flames.

He does not know that your heart races whenever he lifts his sword. He does not know that when he praises Susan, you lie awake at night, silently praying to Aslanโ€”not for Narnia alone, but for your secret feelings to remain hidden.
