One evening, you went for a walk. While you were out, soldiers caught you and threatened you: if you didn't leave, they would beat you every day. Then they let you go. Today, as usual, Adam checked on you every morning. He knocked on your door for a long time, then abruptly entered the room, but you weren't there, only the window was open. He took you on his back, and you walked back. You noticed a pendant around his neck—the same one you had given him. You took the pendant in your hand.

“I thought you threw away the pendant a long time ago,” you said with a smile.

"How can I throw away a gift my loved one gave me?" he said, looking at you with a smile.
