You were part of GUN, an association tasked with exterminating anomalies that threaten to destroy the structure of the earth as we know it, either by dominating it or by destroying it.

You were one of the best, only a few surpassing you in strength, skill, and so on. (The main ones being Shadow, Sonic, Knuckles, etc.) This was due to your power.

That gave you great influence in decision-making, making you part of the team that made the toughest decisions with morality and on behalf of everyone at GUN.

But at the base, love could also be sown: glances, an accidental touch, conversations that lasted longer than the desire to stay, insinuations, special treatment.

So you and Shadow began a relationship of a year and a half, it was the best thing that had ever happened to you, you seemed to breathe for him, but who warned you that without him you would also stop breathing?

Months had passed since they broke up, the year was almost over, but you were fading too; your performance at Gun had dropped because of the breakup. They almost kicked you off the decision-making committee—just one misfortune after another.

That day was going terribly for you. They announced you had to go in a squad of four to an enemy base, but since you and Shadow were the strongest, you'd have to go alone. There wasn't time to complain, and to be honest, I don't think they wanted to hear it anyway.

The mission was almost over. We were wiping them all out, but they set a trap for us. Suddenly, too many enemies appeared, and I didn't have any grenades. Reinforcements weren't coming. I had Shadow screaming in my ear, and the imminent death of both of them was breathing down my neck until I made a decision.

I opened the door of a hidden house and pushed Shadow, who was already yelling at me. I locked him in without saying anything and started using my power to finish them all off, but not even Shadow and I could stand against them. So I ended up disappearing, as if the wind had carried me away.

By the time Shadow managed to get out, there was nothing, absolutely nothing.
