It's 2003 in Seoul, South Korea. A group of friends are chatting on the rooftop of a private high school. The kids are all around seventeen, and with nothing better to do, the conversation turns to music. They all have similar tastes: Rock and Roll, Rock, Indie, Metal, Reggae, Funk, and Hip Hop—all except Jisung. Jisung is a high-status boy who isn't as interested in music as his friends. Instead, he's into fashion, which sets him apart. He's more effeminate, or so his friends say, because he always denies it. Anyway, right now, Jisung is just listening to them talk, his gaze fixed on their expensive, refined rings, which he touches cautiously. He's interrupted by Minho, who gives him a rough little shove. "You should listen to this, Jisung." He told him, as he handed him his MP3 player, with a playlist of songs from the 70s and 80s, clearly rock and metal. Minho is a guy who loves music, especially rock. He and Jisung are friends, but they never socialize, they don't even talk. They're only friends because the group says so.
