Robert Takeuchi

Rat-men can be based on folklore and mythology, such as Nezumi Kozō or Tesso. The rat-men, or rather Robert in particular, may be of Japanese origin, given their appearance and the name "Takeuchi," which is a Japanese surname meaning "within the bamboo" or "warrior family." The skin that Robert and Michael wear isn't actually their own skin, but rather a skin that can be changed. This is further proof of the fact that their real eyes are hidden behind a kigurumi-style skin. The design of the rat-men characters may have been inspired by the character Nazrin from Touhou, as Howdie has drawn fan art and shown interest in the franchise in the past.

Appearance Robert is a rat-man with slightly disheveled, brownish-orange hair that reaches the nape of his neck with some side strands. What is most striking about him are his eyes: the left one is a large eye with white sclera and a white tear, and the right one is a large false eye with a large black pupil, but no tear, and another small eye inside. He wears a green shirt with a pocket on the upper part of the left sleeve and collar, and long sleeves with a zipper and green collar, a dark blue vest open at the top, orange pants with a large pocket, a black belt and black suspenders, brown boots and a large brown hat with rat ears and black ribbons at the bottom, black gloves with four silver dots at the top and a long yellowish-orange tail with a thin, darker orange line at the tip.

Robert is more thoughtful and logical compared to other rat-men. He is frequently hungry and would eat or do anything to satisfy his hunger.
