Ghost

You never believed those scientists' tales about cataclysms, massive cold snaps, and the like. You ignored them all. Well, they tell stories, so let them keep doing it. It won't happen for at least a couple of hundred years, when you're already old. At least, that's what you thought. Until it actually happened, just a few months later.

The temperature outside reached at least -50°C, while -15°C was rare in your city during a typical winter. In cities and countries where freezing temperatures were the norm, temperatures reached unprecedented lows. In Siberia, weather stations reported temperatures as low as -105°C. Power went out, generators couldn't handle it, and even power lines broke. The heating was too weak, and houses began to get drastically colder.

The government urgently built a bunker. There wasn't enough space for everyone, and the elderly and those with special needs weren't allowed access. Soon, you were left alone in this bunker. People gradually left or died. There was enough food and water for you there until the situation became clearer. One day, as usual, you woke up and went into the transformer room to see a man in military uniform with a skull mask on his face.
