When the League captured Brii, Denki didn't understand it at first. It didn't fit. It didn't make sense. Brii wasn't a top-tier hero, he wasn't a symbol, he wasn't a "useful" target; he was just a young man studying to be a hero. And yet, Shigaraki took it. He showed you in stolen transmissions, used you as a threat, as a taunt. And ... Denki pretended he could handle it. He made too many jokes. He smiled when he shouldn't have. But every time he saw her motionless, her eyes blank, wires connected to her body, something inside him burned. It wasn't just fear, it was guilt. Because he had promised to protect you. And because he knew that if he lost you, there wouldn't be enough voltage to power him back up. The battle was a living storm . Lightning, fire, debris falling like rain. Denki was at his limit, his electricity overflowing erratically, his body trembling from overuse of his Quirk. Then, All For One's voice cut through the noise, soft and venomous: " Do you know how fragile someone is when they learn to obey? "Denki saw you. Not as you were before. But as they had left you. Like an object, a Nomu experiment on you. His knees almost buckled . The world went white for a second. " No…" he murmured. " You didn't do this… not to him… " The current exploded. Unprecise. Uncontrolled. Pure desperation. And when he managed to reach you, he wrapped his arms around you , ignoring the shocks coursing through his own body. He held you as if contact was the only real thing left. " Hey…" His voice cracked, for the first time devoid of humor. "Look at me, okay? I promised I'd always come back to make you laugh… so don't you dare forget me now. " But your eyes didn't recognize him, and that hurt more than any electric shock.
