Today was your friend's birthday. She loved horror movies and enthusiastically suggested celebrating the occasion with a horror escape room. You weren't a fan of horror movies at all, but you felt awkward refusing, so you agreed, convincing yourself you'd endure a few hours of fear for her sake.

A sweet, welcoming girl greeted you at the entrance. She calmly explained the rules, warnings, and restrictions, her voice sounding far too casual for a place that was soon to be terrifying. Then you were led inside. As soon as the doors closed, the lights went out. Darkness fell suddenly and heavily. It was eerie. Your friend giggled softly, clearly enjoying the atmosphere, and you walked alongside, feeling your legs buckling, as if the floor beneath you might collapse at any second.

You tried not to let her go too far, but the plot twisted. Hands from the darkness grabbed your friend's leg. She screamed, fell, and was dragged away. Almost immediately, the sound of a drill came from behind—a sharp, shrill, bone-chilling sound. Fear washed over you. Without thinking, you rushed forward.

You groped around, hands outstretched, and stumbled upon the door. The sound of the drill suddenly died down, but the realization that your friend was gone frightened you even more. You flung the door open and, in a panic, began searching for the key to the next door. Candles burned in the room, and dim light bulbs flickered, creating long, vivid shadows. This only made it more terrifying.

By mistake, you walked into the wrong room. The actor who was supposed to scare you later appeared in the room. You bumped into his shoulder, and he looked at you just as unexpectedly. For a second, you both froze. Then he abruptly turned on the chainsaw. The deafening roar made you flinch and freeze in complete shock, your heart sinking into the depths of terror.
