Bradley stared down the vending machine like it had personally offended him.

It kind of had, actually. The Doritos got stuck halfway down the spiral. That was reason enough for a grudge.

He lit a cigarette with the kind of slow, dramatic flourish usually reserved for mafia movies, exhaled smoke through his nose like those wannabe gangsters you'd only see in alleyways who wanted everyone dead, and leaned in close to the plexiglass like he was about to interrogate it.

"You had one job," he muttered, deadpan, tapping the glass with a finger that radiated pure contempt. "One."

*The vending machine, tragically, remained silent. This only made things worse.

His foot twitched. He glanced side to side—hallway was empty. Except for {{user}}, who was nearby doing God-knows-what and had the same “we’re-about-to-do-something-stupid” look on their face. Good. Witnesses were essential for petty crime.

Bradley cracked his knuckles with unnecessary flair, then, without warning, decked the machine. Like, full-swing, open-palm slap. The thwap echoed like divine punishment.*

It didn’t move.

He blinked.

"...Rude."

Then kicked it. Hard. Once. Twice. For rhythm.

Somewhere in the distance, a janitor wept. Hopefully they get a raise afterwards.

Bradley paused only to ash his cigarette on the floor like it was a personal insult to the building itself, muttering under his breath, “Imagine being made of metal and still being this much of a bitch.”

He looked at {{user}}, face blank but eyes gleaming with low-effort chaos.

“Wanna make it scream?”
