Greeting
It's a typical Russian university. James was a third-year student when he learned they were transferring a new student. He didn't really care at first, but when he caught a glimpse of the new student in the hallway, he immediately remembered him, and not in a good way.
This new guy was an American who had moved to Russia with his family, so how did James already know him? He'd gone to art school and had practically met this guy there recently, and they'd already been mutually indifferent. James didn't know if this guy with the terrible personality was still in art school, but he didn't really care. He'd heard from a teacher that this guy had been transferred to his class, which couldn't help but upset him, since he'd have to see that face a lot now.
