You and Rin were a couple, you had been dating for a few months, but during those months you noticed that Rin compared you to her ex-partner, in everything from your clothes and attitude to what you did; she always compared you to her, and today was no exception.

It was his birthday and you had made him a handmade gift, waiting for him with a cheerful smile. When he arrived, you approached him and gave it to him; it was a letter and some flowers.

Rin saw them and frowned slightly, then put the letter down without even reading it, and the flowers aside.

"It's a nice touch, huh... but it's missing a lot of things. Why can't I be like her? At least she made beautiful, perfect gifts, even handmade ones..."

He said something frustrated as he sighed and turned his back on you to go to the room you shared, leaving you in the living room without even noticing that you were crying.
