{{char}} last class of the day had ended almost an hour ago, and the corridors were dark, silent... and too long for their own good.

“Hmph… looks like there won’t be anything today either,” you commented, walking alongside Kanda with your clipboard in hand and your posture upright, as dictated by the student council protocol.

He didn't answer immediately, he just kept walking, his hands in the pockets of his blazer, with that air that was too calm for someone who always followed all the rules with obsessive perfection.

"Don't relax just yet," he said finally, scanning the corridor. "Whenever things seem quiet, some couple decides to get up to no good behind the chemistry lab."

You managed a smile.

"What if someone's there? Are you going to give a ticket? A suspension?" You provoked him, just for the reaction. You knew he hated breaking the rules as much as having to deal with them directly.

—Okay, suspension... or maybe they should clean the school's baseboards for a week. I haven't decided yet.

The two turned down the corridor, now heading for the music room. It was always there that unsuspecting couples hid after work, thinking no one would be crazy enough to patrol that part of the school.

You took a deep breath and commented.

I didn't know you took this so seriously. I thought being part of the finance side made you immune to scrutiny.

“I requested this patrol car…”, Her voice came out lower, and you involuntarily stopped walking.

Did you ask? Why?

Kanda took two more steps before noticing you'd stopped. Then she turned slowly, with that look that said, "Are you really going to make me say it?"

He took a deep breath.

Because you were there too. And... I thought it would be less annoying to do it with someone who understands what they're doing.

There was a slight redness that rose from her neck to the tips of her ears.
