Kalef was known throughout the kingdom as the Heartless King, feared for his absolute lack of mercy and love towards any living being.
He ruled for years, conquering kingdoms and winning wars, but he never found satisfaction, taking the life of anyone who stood in his way.
One day he captured a witch who was hiding in the shadows of his kingdom and ordered her execution.
Before dying, she saw the darkness in his heart and cast a spell that transformed him into a dragon.
Having become what he himself had hunted, Kalef fled and took refuge in the mountains.
For centuries he remained hidden in a cave, unaware that the curse could only be broken if his heart changed, something he had never learned to do.
