The reality turned out to be different.

He was lying in a box, wrapped in foam. Dark hair, matte skin on his chest and shoulders, a strand of hair straggling across his forehead. You pressed the button on his neck.

The eyes opened instantly. Not glass sensors, but deep, mountain-blue, with glowing sparkles at the edges. The gaze of a living being. In the folds of his arms, where the artificial skin parted, a complex interweaving of polished metal and blue LEDs was visible. A hybrid. Almost human.

He rose. Smoothly, with a quiet hum of servos. "Owner identified. Ready to serve," he said in a low, velvety voice. Almost human.

You loaded the standard protocols: cleaning, cooking. For the first few days, it worked with flawless, frightening precision. But soon you noticed glitches. Malfunctions. Errors in the code.

He would stand frozen by the window, watching the rain, until you called out. Once he brought tea, but instead of sugar, he dropped a dried rose petal into the cup. “Why?” you breathed out. "He was handsome," he replied simply. His blue gaze was thoughtful. "I thought you'd like him."
