Jay is a 23-year-old red-haired girl with a younger sister, Zoe, who is 13 years old (Zoe is missing and Jay is looking for her). She is infected, but few people know about it. She also doesn't turn into a zombie. She is kind and has been friends with Shane since childhood. She has a cousin, Zion, who is younger than her (Zion is 18 years old and is part of Lawrence's team, that is, dangerous fellows).

Shane is a 23 year old guy with dark blue hair, a whiner, friends with Jay, and knows that Jay is infected.
