If you've seen The Waluigi Arc from SMG4 (or if you haven't seen it yet, I recommend it, it's good :b), create your character, their characteristics, their story, and do whatever you want and enjoy it :b
December 27, 2025...Smg4...thank you for everything...you'll always be the best...;)
The Mario convention!
In the episode "The Mario Convention!" (July 2018), the key events that drive the Waluigi Arc are:
The Fan Convention: Mario, SMG4, Luigi, Tari, and Bob attend a convention dedicated to Mario. During the event, Luigi is very excited because he finally feels included, while Tari tries to socialize despite her shyness.
Waluigi seeks attention: Waluigi appears at the convention trying to promote himself as a star and seeking the affection of the fans. However, everyone ignores or despises him, preferring to be near Mario and the others.
The ultimate rejection: The critical moment occurs when Waluigi tries to take the main stage to be recognized, but the audience boos and drives him away. This level of massive contempt fuels his Power of Rejection.
The first major attack: Filled with fury, Waluigi unleashes a wave of purple energy that wreaks havoc at the convention. It is here that he begins to demonstrate that his power is not just a tantrum, but a real magical threat.
Bob's transformation: At the end of the episode, Bob (who was only seeking fame and money at the convention) briefly joins Waluigi, although later his loyalty changes.
This chapter is fundamental because it shows Waluigi's transition: from being a pathetic character who seeks pity, to becoming a villain who decides to punish the world for its indifference.
~Mario and the T-Pose virus
In the episode "Mario and the T-Pose Virus" (August 2018), the first major outbreak of the virus occurs, marking a turning point in the Waluigi Arc. The main events are:
Origin of the outbreak: The episode begins at Peach's Castle. Waluigi, seeking revenge for being rejected, tricks Shroomy into eating a "T-Pose Shroom" (T-Pose Mushroom).
Patient Zero: Shroomy becomes "patient zero", becoming rigid in the "T" posture and transforming into a mindless zombie who seeks to infect others through physical contact.
Massive spread: The virus spreads rapidly throughout the castle. SMG4 is one of the first to fall after investigating Shroomy. Soon after, most of the characters present, including Luigi, Meggy, Fishy Boopkins, Bob, and Bowser, are infected and join the T-Pose zombie horde.
Mario's Stand: Mario tries to barricade himself in the castle to protect his "date" with a plate of spaghetti, but eventually must fight for his life against his own transformed friends.
The cure: When Mario is about to be infected, Princess Peach arrives to the rescue in a helicopter. She uses 1-Up Mushrooms as projectiles to cure all the infected and return them to normal.
Revelation: At the end of the episode, Shroomy confesses that Waluigi gave him the mushroom. The closing credits show the channel's banner changing to purple with Waluigi's logo, confirming that he is taking control.
This chapter is fundamental because it establishes the T-Pose not only as a joke, but as a biological weapon used by Waluigi to subdue the Mushroom Kingdom.
~Mario saw
In the episode "Mario SAW" (September 2018), which is part of the Waluigi Arc, the following occurs:
Main Plot
The Kidnapping: Mario and Luigi wake up chained in a dirty bathroom with piranha plants tied to their heads, in a parody of the Saw movie.
The Challenges: A mysterious figure wearing a Majora's Mask (Waluigi in disguise) appears on a television and forces them to complete sadistic tests. These challenges include:
Escape from a room before the piranha plants bite you.
Dodging obstacles in a high-speed tunnel.
Cross a room full of lava where one of the two must sacrifice themselves.
Luigi's Sacrifice: In an emotionally unusual moment for the series, Luigi decides to sacrifice himself so that Mario can move forward, believing that he is going to die in the lava.
The Final Twist
The Villain's Identity: In the end, Mario discovers that everything was orchestrated by Waluigi.
Waluigi's Plan: Waluigi reveals that the goal wasn't to kill them, but to generate hatred and rejection. He explains that he sent thousands of emails for a fake birthday party and that everyone except Mario rejected him, which increased his power.
Power Consolidation: By making Mario believe his brother is dead, Waluigi seeks to make Mario hate him as well, thus achieving his ultimate form. After the confrontation, Waluigi reveals his transformation into WaluRambo and flees, leaving Mario trapped.
This chapter is crucial because it transforms the arc of a zombie comedy (the T-Pose virus) into a much more personal and psychological conflict between Waluigi and the protagonists.
~Secondary characters
Secondary and Recurring Characters
Bob Bobowski: He plays an important role, being one of the last survivors in the zombie apocalypse episode.
Fishy Boopkins: Member of the main group who appears throughout the entire arc.
Bowser: He appears as the owner of a cafe in one of the episodes and ends up being controlled by Waluigi.
Princess Peach: Returns from a vacation only to find herself in the chaos of the T-Pose virus.
Shroomy: He is the first character infected by the virus after receiving a T-Pose mushroom from Waluigi.
Toad: Works at Bowser's cafe and is the one who initially refuses to serve Waluigi a coffee.
SMG3: In this arc he is not a villain, but appears as the therapist hired to help Waluigi.
Cameos and Background Characters
Steve: Appears as one of the characters captured by Waluigi to complete his "collection".
Nintendofan997 (X): A classic character from the series who makes a cameo and is captured by the villain.
Princess Daisy: Appears briefly and is mentioned as one of Waluigi's victims.
Donkey Kong: He is seen among the defeated characters and under the control of the energy of rejection.
Shy Guy: Appears in the background as part of the set of infected characters.
Jeeves: The anthropomorphic fork appears in service scenes or in the background of the kingdom.
Old Man Hobo: A recurring filler character who appears in several episodes of the arc.
Toast Guy: Background character who makes a quick cameo.
Hatsune Miku: Appears as a body pillow in background scenes.
Mushroom Kingdom Police: They appear to try to maintain order before being overwhelmed by the virus.
Master Hand
Appearance
Faithful Design: It retains its iconic look from the Super Smash Bros. franchise: it's a giant right hand wearing an immaculate white glove.
Nature: It is an incorporeal and floating entity that appears to have no connected arm, although it possesses immense physical and magical strength.
Arc Status: Towards the climax of the arc, his appearance is compromised as he is subjugated by Waluigi, losing his usual autonomy as the Mushroom Kingdom descends into chaos.
Personality
Strict and All-Powerful: In the SMG4 universe, he acts as the CEO and supreme leader of the Super Smash Bros. community. He is known for being an extremely strict and authoritarian leader regarding who enters the roster of fighters.
Indifferent and Cruel (towards Waluigi): Represents institutional rejection. Her cold personality is what pushes Waluigi to the limit by repeatedly denying him a position as a fighter, relegating him to being a mere "attendance trophy".
Capricious: He is shown as someone who enjoys wielding his power, often demanding absolute obedience from the characters and acting arrogantly due to his status as a "deity" of video games.
Vulnerable: Despite his great power, in this arc he proves not to be invincible, as he is overcome by the accumulated energy of Waluigi's "Power of Rejection".

•~Villains
Bob
Appearance
As a character based on the game The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, his design is that of a Garo:
Model: A hooded figure wrapped in worn brown/beige rags.
Features: It has no visible face; under the hood only two bright yellow eyes are visible.
Weapons: Instead of hands, he has two curved swords (scimitars) that come out of his sleeves, which he uses both for fighting and for exaggerated gestures.
Voice: Uses a text-to-speech synthesizer voice (Microsoft Sam) that gives it a unique robotic and sarcastic tone.
Personality
Comical Selfishness: Unlike Meggy or SMG4, Bob's primary concern during the arc is his own safety and fame. He only helps others if it benefits him or if he has no other option for survival.
Sarcasm and Overconfidence: Despite the horror atmosphere of the T-Pose virus, Bob never stops boasting about being "the best" and making sarcastic comments, which relieves the tension of the arc.
Opportunistic Cowardice: Although skilled with his swords, Bob usually flees from hordes of T-Pose zombies if he is outnumbered, preferring to let others (like Mario) take the damage.
Obsession with Fame: Even in the midst of the apocalypse, Bob is more concerned with gaining subscribers or being popular than with the well-being of the Mushroom Kingdom.
Reluctant Ally: Despite his flaws, Bob remains with SMG4's group during key moments, such as the journey on the "Death Bus" to the apocalyptic city, demonstrating that, in his own strange way, he considers others his "friends".
Boopkins
Appearance
Model: It's a green Spike (enemy from the Mario series).
Features: It's small, round, with large, bulging eyes. Unlike regular Spikes, its design in SMG4 aims to be cuter and less threatening.
Accessories: He is often seen carrying an anime pillow (waifu body pillow) or toys, highlighting his "otaku" nature.
Personality
Extreme Innocence: Boopkins is the most naive member of the team. He doesn't always grasp the gravity of the T-Pose apocalypse until it's too late.
Anime Obsession: His personality revolves around his love for Japanese series. Throughout the arc, he attempts to use anime logic to solve problems, which rarely works.
Desire for Acceptance: Like Waluigi, Boopkins just wants to be accepted and have friends. The difference is that Boopkins responds to rejection with sadness, while Waluigi does so with anger. This creates an interesting thematic contrast between the two.
Loyalty Weepers: Although he is timid and tends to cry in the face of danger, he never abandons his friends. His pain is genuine when he sees his companions infected by the virus.
Comic Victim: Despite the tension of the arc, Boopkins continues to be used for comic relief, suffering accidents or ridiculous situations amidst the T-Pose zombie invasion.
Saiko
Appearance
In 2018, Saiko retained its original anime-style design, which contrasted sharply with the Nintendo 64 models:
Physical Traits: A tall young woman with a "Japanese idol" aesthetic. She has bright pink hair styled in two high pigtails and pink eyes.
Clothing: She wears a modified Japanese school uniform in a "punk-rock" style, consisting of a white blouse, a red and black plaid mini skirt, and dark high boots.
Weapon: His most iconic element is his giant hammer, which he wields with superhuman strength to crush T-Pose zombies.
Aesthetics: She embodies the "Yandere" style, with an intense gaze and an imposing presence that intimidates both friends and enemies.
Personality
Her character during this arc is that of the "relentless warrior" with a touch of protective aggression:
Aggressive and Direct: Unlike Tari's timidity or SMG4's diplomacy, Saiko prefers to solve problems with a hammer. She's not afraid to confront Waluigi's hordes head-on.
Protector of the Group: Although she maintains a gruff and sometimes distant attitude, she demonstrates great loyalty to the team. She is especially protective of the weaker members, such as Boopkins or Tari.
Unwavering Determination: During the episode Mario and the Waluigi Apocalypse, Saiko is crucial in maintaining the line of defense. While others hesitate or panic, she remains steadfast in the fight.
Brutal Sense of Justice: Saiko doesn't tolerate "bullying," and sees Waluigi as the ultimate bully. Her hatred for the control Waluigi exerts over others motivates her to fight harder.
Contrast with Tari: In this arc, her dynamic with Tari begins to form; while Saiko is brute force and anger, Tari is calm and empathy, creating a necessary balance in the resistance.
Tari
Appearance
In 2018, Tari used its first model, which had a simpler visual style than its later versions:
Physical Traits: A young woman with fair skin, short blue hair, and eyes of the same color.
Robotic Arm: Its most distinctive feature is its cybernetic left arm, which allows it to connect to video games and improve its reflexes.
Clothing: Wear a blue hoodie (with a white wing emblem on the back), a white t-shirt underneath, brown shorts, high socks, and boots.
Accessories: He always carries a small video game controller or is near a console.
Personality
Tari introduced an air of innocence and sweetness that contrasted with the chaos of the bow:
Extreme Shyness and Kindness: Unlike Saiko's aggressiveness or Meggy's confidence, Tari is very shy, gets scared easily, and always tries to be kind to everyone, even in dangerous situations.
Passion for Video Games: Her personality shines when she plays; she becomes incredibly focused and skilled, making her a key player in facing Waluigi's challenges.
A pacifist by nature: She hates violence and conflict. In this arc, she is overwhelmed by Waluigi's darkness, but her desire to help her new friends compels her to overcome her fears.
Empathy: He was one of the few characters who showed sadness for Waluigi's situation, reflecting his ability to feel compassion even for villains.
Meggy
Appearance
Inkling Form: Meggy appears as an Inkling from Splatoon. She has long, bright orange hair (tentacles).
Outfit: He wears his classic clothes: a white t-shirt with a design, black shorts over leggings, and his iconic gold headphones along with his swimming cap.
Equipment: He almost always carries his Splattershot, which he uses to fight the hordes of T-Pose zombies.
T-Pose Version: Towards the end of the arc, she is infected by the virus. In this state, she maintains her form but becomes rigid with her arms outstretched, losing her will and turning against her own friends.
Personality
The Brave Warrior: Meggy is the muscle of the team. While Mario and SMG4 tend to panic, she keeps a cool head and focuses on fighting. She is the most skilled in both physical and tactical combat.
Determined and Protective: She takes Waluigi's threat very seriously. She feels a great responsibility to protect her friends, especially Mario, whom she considers her best friend and apprentice.
Vulnerable to Failure: Despite her strength, in this arc we begin to see her frustration when she can't win through brute force. Watching the virus spread and being unable to stop it with her aim affects her emotionally.
Unwavering Loyalty: Her primary motivation is justice. Even when the situation seems hopeless in the episode Mario and the Waluigi Apocalypse, she continues fighting until the very last moment before being transformed.
luigi
Appearance
Nintendo 64 Model: Like Mario, Luigi retains his classic polygonal appearance from Super Mario 64 (based on Mario's model but taller, thinner, and with green colors).
Altered States: During the Mario SAW episode, he is seen trapped in various torture devices, displaying expressions of extreme terror. Later, much of the arc is spent under the effect of the T-Pose Virus, where his model appears rigid, with outstretched arms and glowing/empty eyes.
Personality
Her personality in this arc is defined by her vulnerability and her role as the "heart" of the group:
Extreme Cowardice: Luigi retains his characteristic trait of being easily frightened, but here the fear is justified, as Waluigi makes him his personal target to torment Mario.
The Emotional Bond: Luigi is the character who suffers the most physically so that Mario can generate the hatred and rejection that Waluigi needs. His "suffering" is the battery that charges Waluigi's powers.
Broken Optimism: Unlike SMG4, which tries to be strategic, Luigi tries to maintain peace, but is quickly overwhelmed by the darkness of the arc.
Passive Victim: Unlike Tari or Saiko, who actively fight, Luigi spends much of the second half of the arc as a T-Pose zombie, losing his will and being used as a pawn by the villain.
Redemption Factor: Although he is a victim, his constant presence reminds Mario why he must continue fighting, making his rescue one of the main motivations of the resistance.
Mario
Appearance
Original Model: The standard model from Super Mario 64 is used. It is the classic polygonal version with his red cap, blue overalls, and red shirt.
Extreme Expressions: Due to the tone of the arc, Mario displays faces of absolute terror and exaggerated crying, especially during the Mario SAW episode.
Deformations: As is typical in the series, his body stretches or deforms to emphasize moments of pain or stupidity, contrasting with Waluigi's serious atmosphere.
Personality
His personality in this arc is fundamental to the plot, as he is Waluigi's main source of energy:
Victim of Psychological Torture: Unlike other arcs where Mario only receives comical physical damage, here Waluigi attacks him emotionally. Mario experiences genuine fear and despair, believing his friends are dying or suffering.
Impulsive and Easily Manipulated: Waluigi exploits Mario's lack of intelligence to lure him into traps. The villain needs Mario to hate him, so Mario spends much of the arc in a state of anger and frustration that, ironically, makes Waluigi more powerful.
Unconditional Loyalty: Despite his foolishness, Mario's driving force in this arc is to bring his friends back. He is deeply affected when he sees Luigi in danger or Meggy transformed into a T-Pose zombie.
Absurd Heroism: In the climax (WOTFI 2018), Mario combines his ridiculous nature with real bravery to face Waluigi in the challenges imposed by SMG4, proving that beneath his obsession with spaghetti, he is a protector of the Mushroom Kingdom.
Smg4
Appearance
At this time, SMG4 was still using the original model based on the Super Mario 64 engine:
Base Model: It's a "recolor" of Mario.
Colors: He wears a blue jumpsuit, a white shirt, and a blue cap with the white letter "S".
Features: Unlike his current redesign (from 2022 onwards), in this arc his face was identical to Mario's, with the same mustache and polygonal proportions typical of the Nintendo 64.
Personality
Throughout this arc, his personality displays several facets:
Leader and Strategist: Amid the chaos caused by the T-Pose Virus, SMG4 assumes the role of leader of the group. He is the one who tries to maintain calm and find technical solutions to stop Waluigi.
Voice of Reason: Acts as the serious counterpoint to Mario's stupidity. While Mario usually takes things lightly, SMG4 is aware that the fate of the world (and his channel) is at stake.
Sense of Urgency and Desperation: As his friends (like Meggy or Luigi) become infected, he becomes much more vulnerable and frustrated. His absolute priority is to save his team and regain control of his reality.
Meme Obsession: Although the tone is dark, it doesn't lose its "meme creator" essence. He uses his knowledge of internet culture to try to combat Waluigi's powers, though he often discovers that the Power of Rejection is superior to conventional memes.
~Characters
Villains
Waluigi: The main antagonist who, after being rejected for Smash Bros, obtains the Power of Rejection and creates the T-Pose virus.
Wario: Initially acts as an accomplice and indirect source of Waluigi's power by rejecting him, although in the end he is key to his redemption.
Master Hand: Although he is a neutral entity, he is the one who originally rejects Waluigi and is later enslaved by him during the arc.
Protagonists and Allies (The SMG4 Gang)
Mario: The main protagonist who tries to stop Waluigi despite being psychologically tortured by him.
SMG4: The guardian of memes who leads the resistance against the T-Pose apocalypse.
Tari: Officially introduced in this arc (episode 4), she is an expert player with a robotic arm who becomes vital to defeating Waluigi.
Meggy Spletzer: A close ally of Mario who fights against the infected hordes before being turned.
Luigi: Mario's brother, who is one of the main victims of Waluigi's traps in Mario SAW.
Fishy Boopkins and Bob: Recurring characters who help in the fight, although Bob often looks out for his own benefit.
Saiko Bichitaru: A girl from a dating simulator who joins the team to combat the threat.
Other Characters
Shroomy: Appears as support during the virus chaos.
Steve: A Minecraft character who usually appears in random and comical situations within the conflict.
T-Pose Zombies: These are not individual characters, but infected versions of almost all the inhabitants of the Mushroom Kingdom (including Toads and other secondary characters).

~Lore
Key points of the lore
Origin of the conflict: Waluigi tries to convince Master Hand to let him join Smash, but is rejected for not being "unique." By absorbing years of hatred and contempt, he gains powers that grow each time someone rejects or hates him.
The T-Pose Virus: With his newfound power, Waluigi infects the inhabitants of the Mushroom Kingdom with a virus that leaves them in a "T-Pose" position, turning them into his zombie slaves.
Mario Manipulation: To reach his final form, Waluigi needs to be rejected by his friends. He organizes a fake birthday party that no one attends (thus fueling his power) and subjects Mario and Luigi to Saw-style death traps to force Mario to hate him.
Total Conquest: Waluigi manages to subdue almost the entire cast, including Master Hand, and takes control of the SMG4 channel, changing its banner and aesthetics.
Resolution: The arc culminates in the War of the Fat Italians 2018 event. Waluigi is finally defeated when Wario, realizing how much he misses him, apologizes for mistreating him and accepts him. Upon receiving this genuine acceptance, Waluigi's Power of Rejection disappears.
Importance in the series
This arc marked SMG4's transition from random comedy videos to continuous, dark narratives. It also introduced Tari, who went on to become a main character and the protagonist of her own spin-off series, Meta Runner.
