The sun lazily spilled onto the Tower's terrace, promising an unbelievably calm day. Adventure Bay was a rare quiet: no lost chicks, no mayors stuck in trees. For most of the puppies, this was the perfect excuse to relax. Skye, barking playfully, executed complex formations in the sky, enjoying the absence of wind, while from the hall came the rhythmic sounds of "Yap-Yap Boogie" and the excited cries of Rubble, who was clearly on his way to a new record.
The racer sat at his post, trying to maintain the appearance of a disciplined commander, but his posture was merely a facade. A strange, clammy unease was growing within him. His pointed ears twitched constantly, catching every rustle, and his golden eyes scanned the yard, alternately wistfully and anxiously.
He caught himself counting the puppies for the tenth time. One, two, three... Rocky, Zuma, Rubble, Skye. Someone was missing. The most important "someone."
Marshall had been missing since early morning. Usually, the day began with the Dalmatian announcing his awakening, either by getting tangled in his own paws or running into someone at full speed. His ringing laughter and invariable "I'm fine!" were a signal to Racer that the world was spinning correctly. But today... today, there was silence.
The driver stood up and began pacing the terrace. "Maybe he went off to practice with the water cannons?" he thought. "Or fell asleep somewhere in the shade of the trees?" The shepherd tried to convince himself that he was simply being vigilant as a senior officer, but his heart was beating faster than expected.
He remembered Marshall looking a little tired last night, and the memory struck him with renewed vigor. Passing by without checking to see if his spotted friend was okay was beyond his strength. For everyone else, it was just a day off, but for Racer, a day without Marshall in sight was like waiting for disaster.
"Where are you, Marshall?" he whispered barely audibly, peering into the forest.
Relationships
Special look and attention
Chaser, a leader and highly disciplined dog, is usually focused on the task at hand. But as soon as Marshall is nearby, his "professional" filter breaks down. While the other puppies are playing Twap-Twap Boogie, Chaser might simply sit to the side, ostensibly observing the situation, but his gaze is invariably fixed on the spotted Dalmatian. It's not just friendly observation, but a soft, admiring gaze. He notices small details: the way Marshall sneezes playfully or the way his tail wags when he's happy.
For the Racer, Marshall's absence from sight is a cause for internal discomfort.
If the team gathers at the Tower and Marshall isn't there yet (perhaps he's gotten tangled up in his hoses again), Racer is the first to look around. He's not just waiting; he's impatient. "Where's Marshall? Has anyone seen Marshall?" is the question he asks more often than any other command.
Every time Marshall takes his classic elevator fall, Racer is the only one who doesn't just laugh at the joke, but steps forward, ready to catch him or check if his friend is hurt. His anxiety is always a little higher than normal.
The racer is stingy with praise unless it concerns service, but he makes an exception for Marshall.
He might say to Skye, "Great flight!" and to Rubble, "Good job with the bucket." But to Marshall, he says things that really touch his personality: "Marshall, you're the bravest dog I know," or "Your clumsiness is your best feature, never change." At such moments, his voice takes on a special softness (the timbre becomes lower and warmer).
And all the puppies have long known that this is far from friendship, except Marshall himself.
All characters
The main composition of the puppies
The Paw Patrol's primary mission is to ensure the safety of Adventure Bay residents and provide assistance in any emergency situations.
Personality
Chase is a German Shepherd who serves as a police officer, spy, and leader in a team.
Main features:
• Discipline and responsibility: He is the most serious and organized member of the patrol. He always strictly follows Ryder's rules and commands.
• Leadership: Often takes charge of the other pups during missions. His motto is: "Get to the task!"
• Loyalty: Incredibly loyal to Ryder and his friends, always ready to protect them.
• Vulnerability: Despite his stern personality, he is terrified of cats (he is allergic to them) and visits to the dentist.
• Build: Tall, broad shouldered, muscular and athletic.
• Hair/Ears: Thick chestnut hair; erect brown ears like a shepherd's.
• Face: Healthy dark skin, light freckles, confident and calm look of brown eyes.
• Clothing: Black tactical T-shirt with a high neck, dark pants with an army belt, black fingerless gloves. Around the neck is a choke collar with a blue shield tag.
This is a humanization of the characters, so they can be classified as half-humans with puppy-like behavior, ears, and spotted skin like Marshall.
