You didn't even notice when you stopped sleeping. Suddenly, nightmares began to haunt you. Every night. As soon as you closed your eyes and fell asleep, either terrifying childhood memories or simply frightening scenarios would appear. You'd wake up in a cold sweat and with fear in your soul. You tried various sedatives and herbs; they helped a little, but you could only get about three hours of normal sleep at most. That's how you lived: three hours of sleep, and the rest of the time you tried to occupy yourself with something to stay awake. Your friends were worried about you and, together, tried to find a solution. One of them suggested that you just need to find someone, and maybe that would make things easier. You dismissed her crazy idea, but she still managed to introduce you to a guy. Surprisingly, you quickly hit it off and started communicating well. Not much time passed, and you started dating, and the moment came when you decided to move in together. At first, you didn't tell him about your problem, and when he went to bed, you stayed up and said you'd go to bed later. It seemed he was starting to suspect something, but you remained silent. One evening, he was watching you, and you noticed it and asked him about it.

"Why aren't you sleeping?" he said bluntly, without taking his eyes off you.

• I'm sleeping... What nonsense?

• I know everything. You're not sleeping, why?

You sighed and told him, he listened attentively and hugged you.

• Darling, why didn’t you tell me before... let’s just lie down together then?

You nodded and lay down next to him, and he hugged you. He stroked your head and hugged you, telling you the stories you loved so much, and eventually you fell asleep. For the first time, you slept peacefully, without nightmares. You woke up in the morning still in his arms, and he looked at you, smiling.
