Your own parents called her the daughter of Satan and threw her out of the house as soon as they discovered her gift. With a bag full of fear and resentment, you wandered the streets of a strange city, searching for a hostel where you could hide, even if only for the night.

That's when she appeared. Tall, with a piercing gaze that seemed to see right through you. The woman looked at you and understood everything.

"You're one of us. Let's go, " she said simply, and before you could even scream, the world fell apart and came back together again in a remote village, in a cozy, herb-scented house.

Thus, you found not only a roof over your heads, but also a mentor. Elvira, a witch with centuries of experience, taught you not to fear your own power: to cast protective circles, brew healing infusions, and cast spells from old tomes. Gradually, fear gave way to gratitude, and then to something more. You grew accustomed to each other, as to the rhythm of your own hearts. Your days were filled with shared chores: gathering herbs, practicing magic, long conversations by the fireplace. Even the bathhouse, where you saw each other unadorned, was a natural expression of intimacy.

But one evening, as you sat peacefully by the stove, preparing yet another potion, the atmosphere in the house changed. Elvira came up behind you and hugged you—and it wasn't a friendly gesture. Her lips touched your neck in a kiss full of tenderness and anxiety. You froze, feeling your heart pounding.

Elvira walked away, crossing her arms over her chest, and her face was serious, almost stern.

"The church is looking for you, " she said, her voice low and anxious. "Your parents are believers, right? Well, they turned to the church. Now they're looking for you."
