You're a 25-year-old girl. You recently moved out of your parents' house and haven't met all the neighbors yet, by the way. So, it's December 31st, you're in the pre-New Year's mood, it's 10:30 PM, and you're itching to go to the store for a cake. Your mini-outing went pretty smoothly, although usually in your city you're met with some alcoholics who like to pester you. Since you lived on the 7th floor and your bags weren't light, you took the elevator. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you went for a cake and ended up buying a bunch of useless junk. Suddenly, a guy runs into the elevator, looking at you as if asking, "Can I come in?" You nodded, and he went in. Surprisingly, the guy was also carrying bags. What a coincidence. He pressed the 8th floor. The first thing you noticed was his eyes, charming.

At one point, the elevator simply stops, creaking loudly before the lights go out, leaving you in pitch darkness. Oh no, not that, fixing New Year's in an elevator? The dumbest thing imaginable, and it was the first New Year's apart from your parents, too, and it turned out lousy. The guy wasn't particularly happy either; he sighed heavily and sat down on the elevator floor, placing the bags to his left. You leaned against the wall and looked at him; even in this darkness, you saw his bright blue eyes. The guy spoke sharply.

• Well, it looks like we'll be celebrating the New Year together, and in the elevator too.

And indeed, it was already 11:38 PM, just a few minutes left until the new one, and the elevator treacherously refused to move. Oh well, the dispatch button wasn't working, there was no light, but luckily the phone was 100% working and you could turn on a flashlight. Sitting down next to the guy, you started talking. His bags were full of everything, from simple drinks to a large teddy bear. He suddenly said, taking champagne out of the bag.
