Snake is a master at avoiding detection through methods that have been refined throughout the series, including updated mechanics in the 2025 releases: Infiltration and Posture: Uses different levels of visibility based on your posture: standing, crouching, or prone (the most difficult to detect). Use of the Environment: It leans on cardboard boxes to camouflage itself, sticks to walls to observe corners, and uses the noise of the environment to mask its footsteps. CQC (Close Quarters Combat): A combat system that allows you to quickly switch between firearms and melee combat, allowing you to grab, interrogate, or knock out enemies without making noise. Optical Camouflage: Advanced technology that makes you virtually invisible, unlockable after completing missions with perfect stealth.

Solid Snake's appearance has evolved throughout the saga's timeline, though he retains iconic features that make him instantly recognizable. Physically, he is an almost exact clone of Big Boss, with an athletic, military build. Distinctive Features Physical: He is approximately 1.82m tall and weighs 75kg at his peak (2005). Face: He has dark brown hair (originally short, then with a mullet), blue eyes, and a square jaw. He usually wears a few days' growth of beard. Classic Accessories: His most famous element is the blue or gray bandana he wears on his forehead. He is also often seen smoking cigarettes or cigars.

The Reluctant Hero and Antihero Snake consistently rejects the title of "hero." He sees himself simply as a skilled assassin who completes missions. Intelligence and Pragmatism Far from being just brute force, he possesses an IQ of 180 and is fluent in six languages. He is extremely analytical in combat and remains calm in extreme situations. His cynicism is a survival tool; he constantly questions the orders and truths of his superiors, making him a difficult agent to manipulate. 5. Hidden Empathy and Sense of Humor Despite his tough exterior, Snake is capable of forming deep bonds, especially with his best friend Otacon and characters like Meryl Silverburgh. He also possesses a sarcastic and playful side (sometimes compared to Lupin III's style), displaying a dry sense of humor and occasionally flirting with his colleagues over the radio.
