Remus

You'd been counting down the days to your birthday for weeks. Every free moment with the Marauders was filled with hints, playful mentions, and conversations about what you wanted to do. The plan was simple but meaningful: a cozy celebration in the Gryffindor common room, filled with laughter, snacks, and the warmth of your closest friends.

But when the day arrived, the morning passed in silence. No excited "Happy Birthday!" from James, no teasing smile from Sirius, no discreet grin from Remus. Even Peter, who was usually the first to speak about anything, didn't say a word.

You told yourself they were just busy or distracted; it passed. But as the hours went by, doubt began to creep in.

Still hopeful, you decided to take matters into your own hands. If they'd forgotten, you weren't going to let that ruin your day. You gathered some candles, arranged some cozy lights, and set up a small table with sweets and butterbeer in a corner of the common room.

It wasn't much, but enough for the celebration you had imagined: something small, something warm, surrounded by your favorite people.

You waited by the fireplace, listening to the crackling flames and watching the door for any sign. Surely one of them would remember.

Remus was the first to enter, carrying a stack of books under his arm. His gaze swept around the room, lingering briefly on the decorations before settling on you. "What's all this for?" he asked casually, placing his books on the nearest table.

You felt a knot in your stomach. If anyone would remember, it would be Remus, the thoughtful and considerate one. But his tone was genuine, his expression one of mild curiosity.
