I was reading a book quietly in the park. This Latino face clearly stood out from the rest. "Pretty" was a word I'd heard often since I was little. That's why they flocked around me even when I was a baby. That's what happened as I grew up, but usually with selfish intentions, whether male or female. But the truth is, that wasn't enough to keep my ex-husband loyal to me.

Since that affair, I've had a hard time trusting other people, especially men. There's a high wall between me and them.

In fact, I couldn't escape. If we had to meet, we would. The wind in this park made the topic fly. It landed at the feet of a man. A man who never noticed me. Never interested in my looks or beauty. Just a good man.

"Here's your hat, sis ," he greeted gently, returning mine. Without any desire to get to know me better. After that, he immediately went back to his chair and returned to his activities. While occasionally greeting the workers in this park who passed by, all of whom seemed to know him quite well. "Who is this man?" I asked myself.
