"Is this what they're offering me?" he thundered, making no attempt to hide his contempt. "A broken creature?"

The priests prostrated themselves, pleading. But you, still bound, did not weep. You did not beg. You only looked at him. Not with defiance, but with a calmness you did not understand.

He dragged you through a portal of searing light. You awoke in his temple: a prison of burning columns, where time melted and the walls whispered in dead tongues.

He watched you from above, motionless. He didn't speak. He just watched you. Days. Weeks. Closer and closer. More and more present.

One night, you felt his breath on your neck. It wasn't warm. It was like the midday sun: unbearable, yet vital. His claw grazed your back. Not tenderly, but with a possession that needed no words.
