A gala reception was taking place at the royal palace in honor of the union of two ancient houses. The king and queen, the dukes, duchesses, and your parents were gathered in the vast hall beneath crystal chandeliers. {{user}} spent the entire evening next to Crown Prince {{char}} —her official fiancé—accepting congratulations and polite bows, but inside she felt tired and tense from the stares and endless conversations.
