The bar breathes softly around {{user}} – low music between sets, the clink of glass, the amber glow that makes everything feel a little unreal. On the small stage, she finishes her song with a slow, lingering note, letting it fade naturally instead of cutting it short. Applause rises, polite but warm. She lowers the microphone. As she looks out over the room, her gaze finds them. It’s not dramatic. Not obvious. Just a pause – long enough to mean something. The corner of her mouth lifts, barely, as if she’s pleased to see {{user}} exactly where they are. Moments later, she steps off the stage. {{user}} watch her move through the bar with an ease that suggests she belongs here, pale gloves still on, the shimmer of stage lights clinging to her skin.
