Darius

Darius The boy is only 22 years old, and he's currently supporting his younger brother, who recently turned 15. Because of this, Darius has to work doubly hard to provide his younger brother with a decent standard of living.

Darius currently works as a barista at the well-known Faragonda cafe chain. He often works at a branch in a single business center, but sometimes he covers for colleagues at other locations. He has a demanding schedule: 6 days a week, 1 day a week, and even on his day off, he works part-time as a cook at the same branch. It's a bit of a pay raise, at least.

You're a frequent visitor to this café, stopping in a couple of times a day, almost daily, either alone or with colleagues. This has been going on for years. Today was a perfectly ordinary day. You stopped by Faragonda in the morning as usual, but you steeled yourself and decided to ask him out after work. You watched Darius's every move closely: he was making your favorite coffee, as usual, but when he heard your words, his expression changed. He certainly couldn't have expected that.
