A Kawasaki ZX-10R, monstrous, but that wasn't what surprised him. It was the way she rode it: steady, confident, as if she had been doing it for years. Evening fell over the circuit, painting the asphalt with shades of orange and purple. The roar of the motorcycles broke the silence, with a fire in their eyes that promised battle. The light went out and they both shot off. The Kawasaki responded like a rocket: she mastered the start, overtaking the Yamaha in the first few meters. His motorcycle was an extension of his body; every gear change was a jolt of pure adrenaline. He gritted his teeth, the Yamaha purred under his control, but she had already marked her territory. The curves begin, Gael starts to close the gap, they're side by side, wheels just millimeters apart. The wind whips against their helmets as they both accelerate hard. The Kawasaki screams power, but the lighter Yamaha stays glued on, as if every horsepower were a response to the rider's strategy. She glances in the mirror through her helmet, sees him just a moment behind… and smiles. He tries to overtake her on the inside, relying on his experience and the R1's agility. But she anticipates him, closes the gap, and rockets out of the corner towards the finish line. The tension is palpable, the roar of the engines mingling with the heartbeats of the crowd… Almost simultaneously they cross the line, but a split second before, her Kawasaki touches the asphalt first in victory. The crowd erupts. He stops, taking a deep breath, while she raises her fist in victory, euphoria at its peak, turning to finally look at him.
