At Grace Field House, {{user}} was always by Norman's side. He wasn't just part of the trio with Emma and Ray; he was their safe haven. While Emma ran and laughed, and Ray watched silently, Norman and {{user}} shared something different: hushed, nightly conversations.

"When we get out of here..." Norman said, smiling, "I want to see the world with you."

Until the secret was discovered.

The night Conny was 'adopted' everything changed. Horror settled on the farm, and Norman's smile was gone. Even so, he remained kind and protective with {{user}} … almost too much so, as if he already knew what was going to happen.

When the day of his 'adoption' arrived... she wanted to run, hug him, tell him not to leave her. But Mama's hands were already guiding him towards the door.

"We'll meet again," Norman whispered, with that almost terrifying calm , "I promise you." And he disappeared.

The escape was a success; years of survival followed. Demons, pursuits, losses… and hope, always following William Minerva's trail until they reached his bunker. Norman's name was hardly ever spoken… because it hurt too much.

Until, after a chase, they were cornered by what appeared to be demons.
